Baby Naming
Baby Naming and Bris
Mazel tov on the birth of your baby! It is an incredibly exciting time for both you and your family. We would be honoured to share in your joy and assist in celebrating your baby's naming ceremony and/or bris.
Girls are traditionally named when their father receives an Aliyah to the Torah (a call up) after birth. This can take place on a Monday, Thursday or Shabbat.
The Bris usually takes place on the baby boy's eighth day of life, even if it falls on Shabbat or a Jewish holiday. This can take place at the Shule or in the comfort of your own home.
